Brain

So, I was perusing the ol MSNBC today and saw this in the margin.  Driving + Cell Phone = Brain Overload.  Sure, maybe if you're that girl there.  Or perhaps if you've got some kind of mental retardation... or maybe even if you're old, and cant seem to figure out how to work the phone correctly, and you're looking down at it while you're supposed to be paying attention to the 5 lane, 20 mile long parking lot that you've found yourself in. 

No.  I'm sorry, but I dont think I have super powers.  I believe it is within each and every one of us to be able to both drive and speak to another person at the same time.  What do you do when you have another dude in the car with you?  Do you immediately shush them when they deign to inform you that you've just blown past another stop sign?  Or you're about to miss your exit?

Just as we dont take away the plastic fork of a Ph.D. candidate, us folks who can string together a thought and walk at the same time shouldnt have to suffer the punishments that stupid ass hats envision will remedy our "bad driver situation".  Some people are just bad drivers.  Taking away their phones will not make it better.  At the same time, some people honestly cannot both drive and carry on a conversation at the same time, and it should be those people's own responsibility to not do it.

Just another example of government dictating what I can and cannot do.  M will say that this is libertarianism... but if so, then so be it!  Jesus.  Arrest me for selling the pot, arrest me for hiding the pot, and arrest me for importing the pot... but do not arrest me for being high! 

Disclaimer, that is my argument for many things in this descriptor... I do not smoke pot.    

So, a long long long long time ago, I posted about the stuipd hicks in Prince William County.  Today, I do so again, with relish. 

Everyone arrested in Prince William County will have his or her name run through a federal database to determine citizenship status, even if the person is not suspected of being in the country illegally, according to a draft of the county's revised illegal-immigration policy.

Question: why!?  I realize that generally, when you are arrested or come in the sights of the police, they do a run of your name and see if anything pops up on the computer.  And I also realize that this policy is leaps and bounds better than the old one, in which anyone that was pulled over for anything could be questioned about their immigration status.  Thereby, making me hesitant to drive to go see my family members who live there.

These people are the folks who spear headed this stupid attack on brown people.  As you can read from their statement, they are your run of the mill, crazy, racist, white hicks.  Only, these dumbasses actually have the ear of a supervisor.

• Prince William County Schools reported a mid-year drop in ESOL enrollments that saves county taxpayers at least $6 million annually.  All jurisdictions surrounding Prince William County, including those that have seen a steady decline in student enrollments, are reporting significant increases in ESOL enrollments.  Can someone explain to me why this is a good thing?  You are punishing children who have a right to education regardless of their immigration status.  In terms of molding children to be responsible adults, you have failed.  Miserably.
• Prince William Hospital has indicated that the number of requests for prenatal care for the indigent has gone from over fifty a month to five.  Once again, explain to me why this is a good thing.  You are, in effect, damaging the health of future American Citizens.  Because, as we all know, any person born in the US is automatically given citizenship, regardless of the immigration status of their parents.  Way to be dicks.
• The appearance of graffiti attributed to criminal gangs such as MS-13, Surenos-13 and the "South Side Locos" has dramatically reduced.  So instead of the police doing their job and helping find a horrific and horrible gang, they have shelpped the duty off to the surrounding counties.  Great job. 
• Residential overcrowding in several neighborhoods in the Manassas area has abated significantly since enforcement of the Rule of Law Resolution began.  Like I said in April, this only means that the houses down the street that used to be full of people and not abandoned, are now abandoned.  Your property value has plummeted as a result.  Wait till the legal homeless folks start coming in or people begin being raped in abandoned houses.  Will you so happy then?

I have a big big problem with people taking radical sides of arguments.  There is always an amicable middle.  In this case, instead of bringing legitimate issues with law enforcement policies to the table with a non radical solution in your pocket, you have alienated an entire generation of children, born in the United States and here with every right as your blonde haired, blue eyed daughter.  Way to piss off a bunch of people who's religion doesnt believe in birth control.

First the ickyness just so I can get it out of the way.  This fucker frightens me.  There is no way I could ever even begin to imagine the fear that that woman felt her entire life.  Its horrible, I dont want to read the stories, and yet everyday that something new comes out turns me into one of those shitty people on the highway that just have to slow down to see the disembodied dude in the car after a crash.  Rubbernecker, no?  Anyway... I dont want to click, and yet I find myself clicking away.  At least I havent started checking out and editing the wiki article for it.  That would turn into a nightmare...

Hill friggin larious!  Thanks to M for bringing it to my attention.  Obviously not my own work.  One can find the article it was attached to here.  I didnt start to be an Obama fan until my boy Kucinich dropped out.  And even then, I was for Edwards.  But then he fell by the wayside as well... so now I'm left with O.  I realize I'll likely get flamed for betraying my sex or something, but I dont care.  She's a shrill, evil, manipulative, mad, angry, bitter little swamp sow who should have left her whoring husband.  No, I have nothing against Clinton v1.0 except that he betrayed his wife.  Barring that, fine by me.  But her voice.  Oh my god her voice!  It must be the most annoyingly shrill thing I have ever heard.  I could never image spending 4 to 8 with that coming out of the airwaves.  Of course, I hate her politics as well.  Especially this stupid Gas Tax Holiday thing.  A holiday for the summer would be meh.  And then as soon as Labor Day hit... Skyrocking prices GALORE.  Not so much because of the tax being reinstated, but because the gas companies could raise the price, and we would just assume its due to the tax.  See, I'm not stupid...

Pff... I've even said that I would vote for friggin McCain before Hills, but if push came to shove, I'd probably do it (sell my soul to that crazed woman).  Or vote for myself.  In any case... I think I've made my politics clear.
